GENERAL ADOPTION INFORMATION
Adoption fees are between $20-$30 per baby, depending on ear and coat types, and color and will be poted on the litter pages.
**Any and all money from adoption fees goes right back into the rattery to help buy things like food, toys and supplies that need to be replaced often, and to help pay for vet care when needed**
I will only adopt out in same-sex pairs or more unless you have proof of already haveing a rat of the same sex or spayed/neutered rat at home.
I will occasionally have adult rats or retired breeders for adoption. The adoption fee for an adult is $10, or $5 if adopted with a baby, unless otherwise stated.
Baby rats are generally ready for new homes between 5-6 weeks of age, depending on the litter. All rats are adopted out on a PET ONLY contract, unless other arrangemants have been previously discussed and agreed upon. ARAZ reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone at anytime for any reason at our discression.
RESERVATIONS
To adopt a rat that is available or be placed on the waitlist for a certain type of rat that may be coming soon, simply fill out the Adoption Questionaire and send it to me in an email. I will try very hard to contact you the same day to answer any of your questions and probably ask some as well or offer advice. Please feel free to ask me anything you need or want to know.
**I now require a $5 non-refundable deposit per rat to lock in any reservations, due to people backing out at the last minute. The deposit can be sent through paypal or a check or money order in the mail. You will have 5 days to get the deposit to me, otherwise the rat will be placed as "available" again.
The deposit will go toward the overall cost of the rats and remaining balance must be paid in cash at pick-up.
**Arrangements must be made to pick up your rats the week they are ready. I will hold babies up to two weeks past their ready date (or reserve date, whichever is later) if special arrangements are made. I may require an extra "hold" fee in addition to the cost of the rat.
If you change your mind and no longer want a rat that has been reserved for you, please let me know ASAP, so that I may find that rat another loving home.

I will be emailing people on the waitlist to make their reservations when babies are around 4 weeks old, or after I have made the final decision about which babies will be staying with us. You will have 48 hrs to get back to me with your choices. If I do not hear from you within that time, I will move on to the next person on the list. Arrangements must be made to pick up your new babies no later than 1 week past their "ready" date, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon.
All adopters must sign an adoption contract before taking your new rat(s) home.
**For adopters under 18, you will need permission from a parent or legal guardian. They are ultimately responsible for the rat(s) and will be the one's who will be required to sign.
